The draw for the Cheshire Shield Round 1 cannot take place until May and the completion of Cheshire Cup Round 1 as some clubs in County League Division 2 and 3 have entered the Cup and would drop into the Shield Round 1 if they lose their first round Cup game. Consequently the entry deadline for the Shield is being extended until Friday March 31 in the hope of generating more entries.
