Cheshire U17s defeated in final by Surrey

By brian birtles

A fine season for the U17 side, the first national county (non first class) side to reach the final.

Cheshire Under 17s were defeated by 90 runs in their 3 day final played at Arundel against Surrey.

A terrific performance from a "minor" county - from the 2020 season this term is to be replaced by National County, as part of several changes to non-first class cricket.
